‘Vampire Diaries’ Boss Julie Plec Dishes on Elena’s ‘First Hot Vampire Sex’

The Vampire Diaries” fans might not want to miss every single episode of season 4 because there will be some first-time moments for Elena. Beside trying on her new power as a vampire, the Mystic Falls beauty will engage in her “first hot vampire sex” early in the season, so executive producer Julie Plec spills.

 Elenas First Hot Vampire Sex
Nina Dobrev chimes in on her character’s sexy act, “It’s like she’s going through puberty and vampire sex is going to feel like her first time.” While keeping the identity of Elena’s male partner a secret, Plec hints at the possible lucky guy, “Elena saved Matt’s life, so he’s going to end up paying it forward in a very peculiar way.”

Dishing on another raunchy scene in the upcoming season, Michael Trevino reveals there will be a “big, spontaneous, explosion of joy with some kissing” when Caroline first meets Taylor again, after she thought he died. “Shirts are flying off in our first episode back,” the actor goes on teasing.

Meanwhile, Jeremy may get a new love interest with the arrival of new character April, who will be portrayed by Grace Phipps, in the second episode. The twosome have known each other since they were younger and Steven R. McQueen says, “It will be interesting to see where they go with that… But he and Bonnie still have some unfinished business.”

The new season will also explore more of the Original family and flash back 900 years to give a look at Rebekah’s past. On Damon’s new drinking companion after Alaric died in the season 3 finale, Ian Somerhalder shares, “I think Tyler is up to the challenge of picking up at the bar where Alaric left off. Enemies will become allies.”

“Vampire Diaries” season 4 will premiere Thursday, October 11 at 8 P.M. on The CW. It will see Elena adjusting to her new life as a vampire. “She’s going to be grieving her life… She’s going to be devastated,” Dobrev once said of her alter ego.

James Dempsey: New film ‘Ted’ from Family Guy creator is one big joke

080412 0803 JamesDempse1 James Dempsey: New film Ted from Family
Guy creator is one big joke IF you go down to the multiplex today, you’re sure of there being no surprises.
Because when it comes down to it,
Ted, the first live action feature film from Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, is one fantastic joke stretched extremely thin for 106 minutes.
And yet, it is pointless to point this out, because every male (between the ages of 18 and 35) there ever there was, will gather there for certain because, today’s the day the smutty bear jokes about dick.
As already stated, the premise of Ted is actually rather genius, and that’s what makes the complete lack of originality in its delivery all the more disappointing.
The story, by MacFarlane and Family Guy writers Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, takes the classic Hollywood staple of a man’s personal development derailed by a boorish childhood friend holding him back to a brilliantly subversive level; what if a lonely young boy made a Christmas wish that his teddy bear would come alive, and then what happens 27 years later when they’re all grown up?
Fart jokes, mostly, between bong hits, F-words and repeated references to acts of sexual depravity.
Bizarre non-sequiturs, allusions to pop culture of the 70s and 80s and choice cameos. It’s the story of a man and his sentient non-human companion living the life of Reilly, while his wet-blanket other half (Mila Kunis bumped up from the role of Meg to Lois, only this time named Lori) puts up with it all in the name of love.
Was I expecting something else?
Yes, frankly, I was.
MacFarlane is a shrewd and brilliant satirist who has, across his animated canon of Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleveland Show, lampooned American and, more significantly, entertainment culture in perfect execution.
His writing, voice acting and direction on television have provided moments of surrealism, escapism and hilarity, while continuing to shock and appal audiences with ballsy no-holds-barred humour. This is the man who wrote an episode of Family Guy about its female lead becoming a surrogate mother, then aborting the baby when the biological parents die in a car crash.
Ted, rated 16, thinks it can get by purely by replacing the more audacious aspects of MacFarlane’s animated personae with cursing and sex jokes.
What is initially crude and shockingly rude very quickly becomes crude and shockingly rudimentary, the film following the kind of asinine arc that even 14 year-olds who sneak in will have seen a thousand times before.
Will Mark Wahlberg’s John, the straight man who loves letting Ted get him into trouble, learn a lesson about maturity when his actions knowingly go against the specific agreements he’s made with Lori?
Will there be wildly broad jokes at the expense of racial and sexual stereotypes? Are all the best jokes in the trailer? You betcha.
The film is an overly long episode of Family Guy, and a weaker one at that. What works in animation plods along in live action.
The supporting cast, admittedly with the exception of one fantastic cameo that flashes with retro pastiche, are largely forgotten.
Community’s Joel McHale, a cult star in his own right, barely features as Lori’s lecherous boss and is mostly left flailing about on screen with yet another fart joke.
Much has been written of the fantastic CGI rendering and motion capture performance of Ted – but a puppet would have been easier, and as recently seen in The Muppets, funnier.
That Ted started out as the framework for another animated sitcom should come as no surprise; MacFarlane has cornered the market of man and talking creature comedy since 1999. Stick with the Family Guy boxset instead.

Touch Season 2 – Press Release and 2 New Cast Join

LUKAS HAAS AND NEWCOMER SAXON SHARBINO JOIN CAST OF “TOUCH

Greg Ellis (“24“) To Appear In A Recurring Role

TOUCH Makes Season Two Debut Friday, October 26, on FOX

Lukas Haas (“Inception,” “24,” “Witness”) and newcomer Saxon Sharbino have joined the cast of TOUCH as series regulars and Greg Ellis (“Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End,” “24″) will appear in a recurring role when the critically acclaimed series returns for its second season Friday, Oct. 26 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

In Season Two, the story setting shifts from New York to Los Angeles, where single father MARTIN BOHM (Kiefer Sutherland) and his gifted son JAKE (David Mazouz) are on the run from the mysterious and possibly sinister research facility Aster Corps, which had shown tremendous interest in exploiting Jake’s ability to perceive the hidden patterns that connect people around the world. After arriving on the West Coast, the father-son team met distraught mother LUCY ROBBINS (Maria Bello) and now are determined to help find her missing – and equally gifted – daughter AMELIA (Sharbino). During their search, their paths will cross with Aster Corps genius CALVIN NORBURG (Haas), as well as TREVOR WILCOX (Ellis), a journalist and old friend of Martin’s.

Haas first rose to prominence in director Peter Weir’s critically acclaimed thriller “Witness,” opposite Harrison Ford and Kelly McGillis. His additional feature film credits include “Inception,” “Alpha Dogs” and “Red Riding Hood.” His television credits include recurring roles on “Entourage” and “24.”

Thirteen-year-old newcomer Sharbino most recently starred in the FOX drama pilot “Classified,” executive-produced and directed by Brett Ratner (“Tower Heist”). From Flower Mound, TX, she currently resides in Los Angeles.

Ellis’ feature film credits include “Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides,” “Pirates of the Carribean: At World’s End” and director J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek.” His television credits include “24″ and “Trust Me.”

And don’t miss an all-new bonus episode of TOUCH airing Friday, Sept. 14 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). In the episode, Martin’s car mysteriously breaks down in the town where he first became a reporter. When he begins to suspect his mentor is involved in illegal activity there, he risks severing their friendship in order to find the truth.

The ABC show’s version of the Peter Pan nemesis is described as “a confident pirate who never backs down from a fight; a man who seeks to crush and humiliate his enemies,” according to Entertainment Weekly. Still, he “has the meticulous style and manners of a proper gentleman.”

The character has been teased in a preview video that was screened during the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con in July. In it, a man whose face is unseen breaks into Mr. Gold’s pawn shop and steals a hook to be put back on his hand.

“Once Upon a Time” will return with all-new episodes starting Sunday, September 30 at 8 P.M. on ABC. Other fairytale characters who will make appearance on the fantasy series include Mulan who will be portrayed by Jamie Chung, and Sleeping Beauty who will be played by Sarah Bolger.

Colin O’Donoghue previously appeared as Duke Philip of Bavaria on “The Tudors” and as Conor Elliott on award-winning Irish medical drama series “The Clinic”. He made his big screen debut in 2011′s “The Rite“, which also stars Anthony Hopkins.

The Office Season 9 Episode 2 – David Denman to guest star

The Office Season 9 Episode 2: The adage “time heals all wounds” is about to be tested, because warehouse jockey Roy is punching in for another shift at The Office.

David Denman will guest-star in the upcoming ninth season of the NBC comedy, TVLine has learned exclusively. According to sources, the hot-tempered former Dunder Miflin employee will show up in Episode 2.
Fans will remember loutish Roy as the main impediment to Pam and Jim’s slow-burn love story during the first three seasons of the NBC comedy. And when Pam confessed to her former fiancĂ© about kissing Jim, only Dwight’s quick thinking stopped Roy from beating Halpert to smithereens in the office. Roy was later fired.
He showed up in Season 5 for an uncomfortable exchange with Jim, who by that time was engaged to the lovely Ms. Beesly. Aside from a brief turn as a hostage in Michael Scott’s epic Threat Level Midnight, Roy’s been MIA since then.
Denman, on the other hand, has been busy. In addition to the short-lived Fox comedy Traffic Light, his TV appearances include Brothers & Sisters and Drop Dead Diva.
Denman’s love-to-hate character visits in a season that sees the paper company’s Scranton branch going through a re-org. Clarke Duke and Jake Lacy are joining the show as showrunner Paul Lieberstein (and possibly Rainn Wilson) exit; B.J. Novak and Mindy Kaling won’t be back full-time, either.
The Office returns to NBC Thursday, Sept. 20 at 9 pm/8c.
