‘Two and a Half Men’ Officially Renewed for Season 10
The lead actors have signed a new one-year deal earlier this month. One of the showrunners, Lee Aronsohn, however, will not return and will be replaced by executive producers Don Reo and Jim Patterson. Nevertheless, Aronsohn will still serve as an executive consultant.
With Kutcher replacing Charlie Sheen, “Men” averaged 15 million viewers in season 9. Although there was a slight dip in the later part of the season, it still posted gains in the key demographics, becoming No. 3 primetime comedy in adults 18-49 behind “Modern Family” and “The Big Bang Theory“.

‘Two and a Half Men’ Co-Creator Says Sorry for Making ‘Stupid’ Jokes About Women
Lee Aronsohn showed his remorse after making anti-women remarks at the Toronto Screenwriting Conference. Taking it to his Twitter page, the co-creator of “Two and a Half Men” admitted, “Yes, yes – it was a stupid joke. I’m sorry.”
Before posting this tweet, however, the television producer wrote what seems to be not-so-apologetic message. According to The New York Times, he said, “Women, please look up ‘irony’,” and claimed that he has “made a career out of” jokes about the male anatomy even as he was “complaining about vaginas.” These tweets no longer appear on his Twitter page.
Aronsohn received backlash after saying at the Sunday, April 1 event, “We’re approaching peak vagina on television, the point of labia saturation,” when commenting about this season’s female-driven comedies. Seemingly not a fan of this kind of shows, he said, “Enough, ladies. I get it. You have periods.”
The 59-year-old writer additionally suggested that women were to blame for the problems of the main characters on “Two and a Half Men”. He stated, “We’re centering the show on two very damaged men. What makes men damaged? Sorry, it’s women. I never got my heart broken by a man.”
“Raising Hope” star Martha Plimpton has since expressed her anger at Aronsohn’s remarks. “Um, Lee, women are 51% of the population & a coveted demographic for advertisers. What are you thinking?” so the Emmy-nominated actress tweeted.

Two and a Half Men – Ashton Kutcher Moves Closer to New Deal
CBS is taking lead in the talks, even though Warner Bros. TV produces the show. That’s because, at this point in the show’s life — Two and a Half Men enters its 10th season next year — the network’s license fee covers the cost of the show. That cost, of course, could go up with a pay raise for Kutcher, so it’s in CBS’ best interest to handle the negotiation.

Two and a Half Men Review: Mary Poppins and Sir Schmidt
Oh, my, this week’s episode of Two and a Half Men was full of carnal interludes, drugs and loyal subjects.
Walden and Zoey seemed to hit that dreaded spot in any relationship where everything suddenly becomes boring, but that all became water under the bridge after awhile… provided they visit many more zoos in the future.
I can understand Zoey’s reluctance in saying certain words. After all, she’s British. Those Brits are so formal, looking for better words all the time, trying to replace vulgar ones with others such as frisky and randy. Seriously, Berta hit the proverbial nail on the head by calling her “Mary Poppins.”
She had a little bit of trust issues, but seeing as Walden and her child hit off, it’s safe to say, those worries are long gone now. I do hope their relationship continues to grow stronger.
Indeed, we were treated to a little bit of character development from Zoey in “Duchess of Dull- In-Sack,” as viewers were introduced to her ex- husband, who happens to be 177th in line for the throne and her daughter, Ava. The latter is really sweet, and she gave Walden his new name, “Sir Schmidt,” Her ex, though? A complete douche bag.
This week was a little low on jokes, but Berta, Jake and Eldridge had the best lines of the night. From Jake suggesting that he and Eldridge could be ringers for each other… to finding Berta’s brownies… and Berta’s borderline racist jokes about Poland and shoes… I could not stop laughing. I’m happy to see other characters are getting more screen time, with Alan relegated a bit here, though still produce some chuckles.
All in all, a good episode. I look forward to the return of Judy Greer, while Aston Kutcher looks kind of young with that haircut. I also hope Jake and Eldridge find the real Zoey. Finally: best of luck to Zoey’s ex-husband – that succession line is really long.
